How Could You Market Your Business?

A successful business is usually one that has created effective marketing strategies — it isn’t surprising that the public need to be aware of your brand for it to grow. All businesses should invest in marketing to encourage purchases, engage with customers, sell and grow. So that begs the question: what are the best ways to raise awareness of your brand and market your business? In this article, we’ll look at the different types of strategies to get your business out there.

Vehicle advertisements

Nobody is a stranger to vehicle wraps — you’ve no doubt seen company designs and logos plastered all over vehicles like Ford Transit Customs. And it isn’t a bad idea. This way, your car, that is likely going to be travelling around different areas is essentially an eye-catching marketing automobile. Regardless of the size of your business, it is beneficial to have members of the public engage with your brand.

Considering the exposure your business would get, it is fairly inexpensive when you compare it to television advertisement, which according to the Outdoor Advertising Association, can cost £40 per thousand impressions during primetime. Whilst radio is comparatively cheaper at a price of £10 per thousand, even then, vehicle wrap is as cheap as 30p per thousand impressions and lasts much longer.

Leafleting

Leaflet distribution is a good way to market your business, particularly for new businesses. Circulating leaflets are a good way to stick in your potential customers minds, with research finding that around nine out of 10 people could recall leaflets they’d seen. This method can cost as little as 5p per house, a small cost for potentially big rewards.

You wouldn’t need some elaborate design to attract attention — simply include the name of your business, logo, contact details and what it is that you’re offering. Leaflets are likely to be kept, so potential customers could keep a hard copy of your marketing strategy.

Something important to consider is to include a discount or coupon, incentivising potential customers to use your business, if they weren’t too sure already.

Outdoor banners

Outdoor banners are an effective method to catch people’s attention – according to research, a business’ customers typically live within five miles. So, your banner could be seen by one potential customer around 60 times in only one week. And it’s no secret in psychology that repeated exposure is extremely effective!

Free campaigns on social media
At a time of an increasing digital presence, there are increasing opportunities for free campaigns on social media. Considering that there were around 44 million social media users in the UK at the start of 2018, which is around 66 per cent of the population, the potential to be seen by many is huge. Obviously, this isn’t a guaranteed 44 million customers, but for free marketing it isn’t bad. Ranging from the top brands in the world to local small businesses, all businesses should use this tool.

No matter how much money you have available for marketing, it’s essential that you invest in getting your brand out there. There are many other options that could be suitable for you, just remember to take time to make sure it’s going to be a success.
